WINNERS!

The Lakeshore General Hospital (LGH) Foundation is happy to announce that the 16th Annual National Bank Duck Race, held on June 16th, 2012 at Valois Pool in Pointe-Claire, was a sensational success and raised over $88,000 to purchase much-needed equipment for the hospital!

4624 ducks raced across the pool this year.  The winner of the race is Mr. Fanfan Ronsard, who purchased the winning duck ticket at a National Bank location, and is the extremely excited new owner of a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta, courtesy of Volkswagen des Sources.  The 2nd place duck won a $1,000 Guaranteed Investment Certificate, courtesy of the National Bank, and the 3rd-6th place ducks each won a $250 certificate for a fine-dining experience at La Maison Verte restaurant.  Thank you to our generous prize donors! 

The fun-filled day by the pool began at 1 p.m. with open swim, face painting, specialty vendors, Subway sandwiches, and special live performances by the bands Foley, M.T.L, and the James Wallace Band.  Lakeshore Louis was on-site to greet guests, along with CTV and their official mascot “Jellybean,” as excitement built for the big race at 4 p.m.
