Message from the Chairman
It is indeed a great honour and a privilege to be given the opportunity to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Lakeshore General Hospital (LGH) Foundation and to contribute to the health care well-being of our West Island constituents as a member of a very strong team of experienced, dedicated, and competent directors and staff.
Since its inception some 45 years ago, the LGH Foundation has raised substantial sums of money within our benevolent West Island community to elevate the quality of health care through the acquisition of state-of-the-art medical equipment and specifically, $7 million dollars, which helped to make possible our recently constructed Ambulatory Care Centre which has had a dramatic and positive impact on the number of patients we can now treat within our community.
We are indebted to all stakeholders who contributed over the years towards making the LGH the highly effective health care institution it is today.
I wish to sincerely thank our professionals, our staff, and the invaluable and caring auxiliary volunteers for their commitment and dedication, and to express my heartfelt appreciation to the thousands of West Island supporters, who, over the years, have contributed generously towards enabling the LGH to continuously pursue our relentless goal of increasing and improving services and quality of care, an expectation our users so richly deserve.
I encourage all members of our team, all stakeholders – inside and outside of our institutions – and most important, all members of our community to continue to support our LGH. We are all partners working together to raise our health care standards.
I am very proud to be a member of the team.
